The course was extremely useful for me. I have been a recruiter for several years, but not for technical positions. I found the program to be very user friendly for someone who had a very basic understanding of technology. I enjoyed the videos, the interactive quizzes through-out. The layout of the program helps to gradually build one’s knowledge.

If you want a way to rapidly teach non-tech recruiters tech, it’s the ideal programme. Within 2 weeks of completing the course, the first consultant to go through TechMap was working on a CTO level role and comfortable with having conversations with leaders in our field.

These past few weeks of training with the Generation Global team and TechMap have been nothing short of amazing.

Great course, a good mix of exercises to help reinforce the learning, and an easy platform to navigate. I really liked the ability to breakdown topics into bite-size chunks and you can tackle it at your own pace.

I specifically liked the detailed explanation on the different programming languages as it gave deeper understanding which candidates could be great for a role even though they are not using the exact same language in their current role.

I always wanted to gain more technical knowledge as a recruiter in order to be able to find quality candidates, and also have more confidence while talking to those candidates There is still more to learn, but I feel so much more self-assured in my role and the work I do every day.

This was a brilliantly structured programme that took us step by step through the tech stack, the software developer life cycle, roles within tech and how they interact with each other and much more. With a visual map of modules, interactive learning and lots of productive group activities, this course provides a great overview of tech.

I've learnt about all things software engineering, I'm far from being a Dev but one step closer than I was before. I'm looking forward to having more great conversations with great technical candidates!

The course was excellent, with great real-life examples, pictures, demonstrations, and explanations, and I think I have learned a lot of new things. I will most certainly implement the knowledge I gained during this course into my recruitment job, as I'm very interested in technology in general.

It was really great, I felt like I got the picture about development on a whole, whereas before I had knowledge about bits and pieces, now all seems connected. Also more in depth information about everything and now I understand candidates better when they get technical

The structure in general just left me speechless honestly. I was just fascinated by how the map is organized with such different content. You never get bored.

I really wanted to kind of gain the confidence when speaking to candidates knowing what all these words meant and the lingo and the difference between coding languages, frameworks etc.

I did enjoy the course and liked:

• The ability to go at 1.5 speed as needed
• NOT have a written “test” per se at completion (I was nervous about this the entire course, because I always overthink my answers)
• The overview layout/map

I thought the TechMap course was very helpful. I learned a lot of new information and it gave me helpful insights that I can start using while speaking with my stakeholders and candidates. I liked that it was interactive, so it wasn’t just an information dump via video or article, but we had to retain the information and answer questions to assess our knowledge. I also appreciated all of the real-world comparisons mixed in such as the making a sandwich and restaurant examples. I’m not sure I have any suggestions at this point on things that I would improve, but if anything does come to mind I will certainly let you know.

With regard to Callum and Dom, they both found the course useful and I believe they've been able to apply their knowledge to some comms they've had with their HM's so it's been a good use of time and effort from them!

It was useful – to an extent. As the leader of the TA team, I’m not as “in the weeds,” with talking to candidates as my recruiters are – I’ve been removed from it for a while, so it took me a bit longer to complete and might not be as useful in my day to day since I’m not actively recruiting.

Most of the courses were easy – the one with the dad and the peanut butter sandwich was not. That one was too long and confusing – it was asking me to code and I’m not a coder so maybe I made it harder than it needed to be? That was the only one where I got stumped.

Otherwise, I would def recommend this to tech recruiters or corporate recruiters that touch some tech stuff.

I really enjoyed the course and I'm grateful for this very good opportunity to learn a lot of things I can use in my every-day-work, and I think I will repeat one or the other unit to consolidate knowledge

I have taken several courses regarding technology for recruiters but this is the best. It gives great analogies that I will remember for a long time. I am a visual learner so the restaurant analogy is great.

I love TechMap! It's fun but at the same time filled with all the most important information. You can pick up where you left off with ease, or choose what to study first but most importantly its all about active learning and engaging.

Although there are areas I wish went in more depth, tech map is perfect for anyone who needs a basic understanding of the world of Technology. I really appreciated the live AI & coach feedback as well!

It was a great course to tie together knowledge that I had as well as learn new things. The concepts were easily digestible. I wish there was an option to "I'd like to learn more" about any topic if you wanted to go deeper or get sent more information.

The content is solid and very useful to teams as they need to be able to hire across the business and no longer specialise in core areas like Sales, G&A or Engineering

It was great structured and engaging course. Sometimes the questions where too demanding.
